walking sea horse!

up University Avenue in the parade.

"How Berkeley Can You Be?" coincides with
the annual Art Car West Fest and this fantastic art
car was one of 80 from all over the country.

Goddess of Berserkocracy
A Berkeley sculptor, Stan Huncilman, created this spoof
of the Berkeley bureaucracy, in part due to the zoning
problems he faced over his art studio.

Rosin Coven
This local 10 piece band, in addition to making music
that sounded as much like Kurt Weill as Kurt Cobain,
advocated making martinis not war!

"Ping" The Submarine
Christopher Schardt built this submarine on wheels that
actually blasted the crowd with water from jets on the
side and water baloons shot with a giant sling shot
from a hole in the roof.

Seoul Cafe
Why waste the meat from all the dogs euthanized by the
SPCA? This year the PETA Brigade created the Seoul Cafe,
where the main ingredient was, you guessed it, dog!

40 strong, this band consists mainly of former members
of the UC Berkeley, Davis and Stanford Marching Bands.
